White Garlic Pizza Sauce

Homemade white garlic pizza sauce . A flavorful alternative to traditional tomato based pizza sauce.

DSC_1962_FotorI love Pizza. I love garlic and definitely cheese. This sauce is a perfect combination of all the things love! It is a rich  and delicious cream sauce, so very little is needed in order to get a great flavor. This white garlic sauce is sure to become your family favorite.

DSC_1914_FotorBack home my Mom made a similar sauce & added some shredded chicken, veggies and potato then coated with egg, rolled in vermicelli and deep fried. It’s called ‘Russian Culets’. It’s one of very popular Bohra Cuisine appetizer. (may be someday i will do a post on Russian cutlets.) Ok…Let’s get back to the white garlic pizza sauce.

Here’s how you can make garlic white pizza sauce…

Ingredients: (makes 1 cup)

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup chicken stock
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp red chili flakes
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Method:

  • Start by heating butter in a pan on a low heat. Add garlic saute for 30 seconds.
  • Add flour saute for 30 seconds. Add milk and whisk out all lumps.
  • Add chicken stock, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning and dried red chili flakes.
  • Continue whisking occasionally until desired thickness is reached.

Use Immediately or cover and chill until ready to use.

Yield: 1 cup       Difficulty: Easy


Ingredients: 

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup chicken stock
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp red chili flakes
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Method:

  • Start by heating butter in a pan on a low heat. Add garlic saute for 30 seconds.
  • Add flour saute for 30 seconds. Add milk and whisk out all lumps.
  • Add chicken stock, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasonings and dried red chili flakes.
  • Continue whisking occasionally until desired thickness is reached.
  • Remove from the heat
  • Use immediately or store for later use

Notes:

  1. The sauce will thicken up, once it starts to get cold. Heat up before use & add milk or chicken stock to thin out the sauce.
